Fire season is here and the fire department is closed at night, because the Park District does not have a 24/7 staffing model.

Negotiations

Your AFSCME Negotiations Team is currently bargaining with the District for temporary and seasonal employee rights. AB-1484 approved by the Governor on October 10, 2023 authorized local employees to form join, and participate in the activities of employee organizations of their own choosing for the purpose of representation on matters of labor relations.
